Wow, sounds fab! I've never been to a Indian wedding but I've heard they're really fun & colourful occasions.
I think it's called "Bombay"
Tiina,
I think it will be fab, and maybe you could give us a few pointers on what to do and where to go.

Anonymous,
Bombay was renamed Mumbai in 1995.
Mumbai is in some Indian language - not English. I believe we should try to avoid using Copenhagen also, then, since it has an "real" name in the local language. Don't you think?
Otherwise - have a wonderful trip!
Anonymous,
I beg to differ and will have to tell you that you are wrong. Check your facts out next time...:
Mumbai, formerly Bombay, is the capital of the Indian state of Maharashtra. Mumbai ranks among the most populous cities in the world in terms of population, with population of approximately 14 million, and along with the neighbouring urban areas, which includes cities of Navi Mumbai and Thane, it is counted as one of the largest urban regions of the world. Mumbai lies on the west coast of India and has a deep natural harbour. As of 2009, Mumbai was named an Alpha world city.
The seven islands that came to constitute Bombay were home to communities of fishing colonies. For centuries, the islands came under the control of successive kingdoms and indigenous empires before being ceded to Portuguese settlers and subsequently to the British East India Company. During the mid-18th century, Bombay emerged as a significant trading town. Economic and educational development characterised the city during the 19th century. It became a strong base for the Indian independence movement during the early 20th century. When India became independent in 1947, the city was incorporated into Bombay State. In 1960, following the Samyukta Maharashtra movement, a new state of Maharashtra was created with Bombay as the capital. It was renamed Mumbai in 1995.
The good thing about Wikipedia is that you can write the facts yourself, to support your needs...
OK, I'll switch from Mumbai Sapphire to Plymouth in my drinks from now on.
All the best! /R
R,
Common Greven, don't be like that... Sorry if I offended you. Just that when I was working for Emirates we were indoctrinated - no more calling Bombay Bombay, the name is Mumbai! Call it Bombay and you'll get slapped! Ok, not really, but almost... And that's why I gave you a tiny little "slapping".
Go on, have a Mumbai Sapphire now..
