show me the money

They're everywhere you look in Hong Kong - millionaires, that is.
On average there is one millionaire for every seven adults in Hong Kong Island. The average amount of liquid assets of each millionaire was about HKD3.8 million last year, while their net assets were close to HKD10million.

Funny though that my bank account shows much lower figures...
I say: Show me the money!!

a new look

Sometimes it's good to explore new sides of oneself.
Sometimes a new look is all it takes.
Sometimes you drink so much that you don't remember how that new side of yourself felt... Good thing there are photo evidence... ;)

the year of the tiger

"The Year of the Tiger began on February 14th 2010. Drama, intensity, change and travel will be the keywords for 2010. Unfortunately, world conflicts and disasters tend to feature during Tiger years also, so it won’t be a dull 12 months for anyone. The Year of the Tiger will bring far reaching changes for everyone. New inventions and incredible technological advances have a good chance of occurring. For all of the Chinese horoscope signs, this year is one to be active – seizing opportunities and making the most of our personal and very individual talents. Everything happens quickly and dramatically in a Tiger year – blink and you could miss an important chance of a lifetime!"

Sounds pretty exciting don't you think?!
I like the year of the Tiger already. But I kind of have to I guess since I'm a Tiger myself... Although I hear different things about what to expect out of your own year. Some say that your own year will be an unlucky one if you don't make one or more major changes in your life. (This has made me think a lot on what major changes I am prepared for in my life this year, the worst thing is that I can't really think of any... So suggestions are more than welcome, because I don't want to have bad luck this year). However, others say that since it is the Tiger’s own year, 2010 holds great promise for those born under this sign, with exciting developments happening for them both personally and professionally. Must say that I like the sound of that much more that the threat of being unlucky. Anyway, better safe that sorry - so I will try and make a big change in my life, as soon as I can think of one... (help!)

end of lazy bliss

After 4 days of lazy bliss, I have been thrown back into reality again.
I have touched down in Singapore after hectic hours in the HK office earlier today and am now lying in a hotel bed working. However, I need to turn off this silly computer and switch off the lights, need to be well rested for tomorrow’s management meeting.

I am very tired, which in a way is weird since I’ve been so relaxed the last few days (thanks to that it was the first public holiday in over 6 months that I didn’t have to work on and more or less the first 2 consecutive days off work since my summer holidays last year…), but maybe having relaxed is the reason that I am feeling tired (that and the fact that it is midnight I guess).

So good night all and sweet (year of the tiger) dreams.

hearts

Kung Hei Fat Choi!
It's Chinese New Year again and I've got four days off!
3.5 to go now, and I already feel really relaxed.

My lovely boyfriend is celebrating the new year by being n a k e d. Don't ask me what this obsession of being naked has come from... Not me, because I get cold so I keep my clothes on. (However, I'm sure if I dared to ask he would most likely blame it on me being a "crazy" Swede or something and him having to try to be just as cool...). Anyway, he is doing some kind of naked marathon and so far he has been naked since he got home from work on Friday night - except that he had to put clothes on for 3.5 hours last night when we went for dinner at our friends place (and thank god for that!).

It's also Valentines day today, which I guess you should celebrate some way. Ant started celebrating the day by giving me tea in bed while doing the dishes decorated in hearts (and pyjama bottoms - obviously he has already failed his naked marathon big time...). All I can say to that is - Don't you just love domestic men? I'm planning on being a bit domestic myself later, and celebrating by cooking my man a yummy dinner.

Had I not had a beautiful naked man for a boyfriend I might have gotten 99 roses today and been taken out for dinner. (That is what all Chinese boys/men are supposed to do tonight, and shame on them if they don't...!) But somehow I don't see the naked marathon thing going so well together with going out for dinner. 99 roses however could still work, or what do you think?!

Happy Valentines to you all.

rhythm

Last year I was throwing punches around, this year I'm wiggling my hips.
Have taken up belly dancing again and am loving it.

Well to be honest, not completely loving it... Had to ask our instructor yesterday why we were dancing off beat. I thought dancing was about following the rhythm... Her answer was that she was tired... Solly missy - not good enough. So she changed the music and then we were following the beat.

Anyway, missing my boxing and will start training soon again. Boxing is also about following a rhythm. The last thing my trainer said to me before my fight was - let's go out there and dance!

So that's what I do - I dance.

warm before rain

So Chinese New Year is approaching, meaning 4 days off (YAY!!) but also rain (boo)...
We were thinking of going camping on a beautiful beach, but I think those plans are no longer... Stupid weather.

However, today it's warm - T-shirt weather actually (!) and I had almost forgotten how that felt.. But it feels good!

Is this what they call the calm before the storm?

spa sunday

Pedicure, foot massage, body scrub, facial and full body massage.
That was my day yesterday.
A Spa-Sunday? Oh yes!
