the weekend

At 2.45pm today I had breakfast at one of HK's nice beaches. The breakfast consisted of pringles and a diet coke... Not the healthiest of breakfasts but it was good!

Needless to say perhaps after that intro - I had a really good and big night out last night... Might have had a touch too much to drink, but when I went to bed at 6am this morning I was good, despite of my spinning head...

We went to a event yesterday that I was supposed to have an other kind of involvement in from the beginning, but now only got to watch, dress up for and drink too much vodka at... I'm talking about boxing and have a pretty manly voice today due to yelling so much at the boys that unlike me actually got to box. Great fights and lots of fun!

So back to my day today. Spent a few relaxing hours on the beach with Linda and Olivier and am very happy about that, since that was probably all I was able to do today anyway... All in all, a very good weekend!

my day

Started off this day with a breakfast meeting at Swed Cham 8.30 this morning. Am part of the planning team for the big new Annual Dinner/Ball that will take place in November. Seems like that night will mean good times and a sore head the day after...

After the meeting I had a few a hectic hours in the office and had lunch at my desk before I headed to the airport. At 16.15 the flight bound for Singapore took off and I watched a movie that had my favourite Hollywood man in it. (Must admit I got a bit disappointed though, he showed off way too little of that gorgeous body of his... Which meant that I had to dream back to the time when I saw him in real life working out on Malibu beach. He didn't have much clothes on then... Ok, enough.)

Arrived safely at the hotel at 21.00, entered my room, kicked off my high heals, slipped into my flip flops and went out for dinner. Went to a place where I usually go when in Singapore and had a lovely salmon salad, chili beef soup and a nice cup of tea. Sat there by my self and thought how international life is some days. Here I am, a little Swedish girl, living in HK but right now in Singapore. And as if that isn't enough, I have had phonecalls from both Australia and Italy since I arrived, and as I am writing these words to you guys out there I know that my words will fly across the globe to Sweden and Finland and many other places... Isn't the world quite small anyway...

Anyway, the time is now 23.03 and I need to jump in the shower, work a little and then go to bed. I am really really tired actually (flying always does that to me, regardless of the length of the flight, I always feel exhausted). So to all of you out there, good night, where ever you are...

half naked

So my streak of let's-get-naked-(almost anyway)-and go swimming continues...

Last night Kim and I decided that fresh air would do us both good. Me, because I've been ill, and she, because she works in bars... So dinner at a little Thai place on the beach it was. And since it got hot, 31 degrees in the air and about 150 degrees in my mouth (lovely spicy food) I decided to get undressed then and there and go for a dip.

Probably sent a few Chinese people into shock since I didn't have any swimmers (underwear had to do), but I don't really care and again I proved that I am a true Swede after all...

pigs ears

No pigs ears have started growing on me yet. Which is good, from 2 points of views. Point 1 - probably means that I don't have the swine flu. Happy about that. Point 2 - they eat pigs ears in China, often as an appetizer or a side dish... Equally happy about getting to keep my ears...

Anyway, flu is still here, and has given me blisters inside of my throat. Doesn't that sound lovely?

So went to buy some more vitamins today, and they gave me an extra jar of vitamin C for free. How good is not that! Me happy, again.

Have just finished a big plate of yummy Thai food with lots and lots of garlic. I stink. But that's ok, since I have no-one around to kiss anyway. Less happy about that, but food was good, so am happy anyway.

Looking forward to happy days!

think pig

Think pig. That's what I am doing right now anyway...
Swineflu?! I don't know. Hoping it's just an ordinary flu I've got.
Time will tell, but I feel pretty rough at the moment...
Best cure though - see the movie Hangover and laugh your head off. So funny!
Now time for bed.
xx

summer holidays

I'm back. Back in HK and back blogging. Sorry I've been a bit quiet, but I've been on holiday. Holiday in beautiful Sweden. And have had an absolutely wonderful time. Stunning weather and lovely company.

So the holiday started off in the east.
2 days in the archipelago with good friends, cute kids and my darling (big - ha ha! And Stina, you know it wasn't me who said it, although I do love hearing it!! ;-)) sister.

After that my travels took me south. To Norrkoping - where a yummy BBQ was arranged with all my very best friends! And not to forget that both Darth Vader and Sleeping Beauty joined us as well. And after an amazing night with the best company one can have, I left for some relaxation at the country house in Vadstena. Got totally pampered by my sweet parents (love you) and dear friends came and visited.

Then it was time to head west. To see some friends but also to go and sing along with Madonna (in the rain...)!! Really cool to see her live of course. And speaking of cool - so was the water that I spent approximately 20 seconds in twice!!

Big thanks to all that was part of my holiday, you are the best and I luv u all!
