sometimes

Sometimes you got to let love go… Even though it’s hurting, even though…
Sometimes you got to let love slide… Out with the river of life…

And once that is done it's much easier to move forward...
And that's when you just might find that special someone again...

Happy Birthday girl!

party = flowers

It's a good thing to throw a party now and then, not only is it fun, but sometimes it also equals beautiful flowers! Thanks so much Kris!! (xox)

So it was 8 of us that cheered in champagne to start off with, and then we continued with cocktails Saturday night. At 2 am, after some intense DJing and even dancing, we decided it was time to head out. And some of us decided to head home pretty soon after that (and just as on a couple of other occasions I'm not mentioning any names, but considering which country these two come from one would think they would know how to handle vodka...), while this foreign babe made the Swedish nation proud.

Speaking of which, someone who really lives up to the Swedish drinking reputation is my neighbour who lives in the apartment underneath me. As I was waking up Sunday morning the music was pumping loud down there, and as I was walking down to the pool later that afternoon they were still going strong. Now that's what I call good going...

complaints

I’d like to file a few complaints…

Complaint 1: Men – Why do some men think that they are god’s gift to women, when they clearly are not?! If they were god’s gift to women they wouldn’t lie to you, they would treat you with the respect you deserve and they wouldn’t look at you and think – another one I just have to shag…

I’ll give you a classic example of a guy who definitely thought too much of himself. Mr World Champion from the other day.. He kept telling me how pretty and sweet he thought I was, and while looking deep into my eyes he tells me that he doesn’t have anyone special in his life, but would like to…he sighs and says – well maybe one day… And then he says that he thinks that he easily could fall in love with me… (wow, now hold your big horses man…). BUT at the same time as he says these words to me - he has got a wife and 2 kids at home waiting for him!
So most obvious - he was not god’s gift to women…
(And luckily this girl didn’t find him as irresistible as he was hoping for at all…)

Complaint 2: Name spelling - Why is it some people find it so difficult to spell peoples name correctly even though they have the correct spelling in front of them? I think it’s rude. If I sign something off with Ulrica, why then reply Dear Ulrika? Sorry, but I don’t want to be dear to you at all if you can’t make an effort to spell my name right.

Complaint 3: Sneaky interest - I actually don’t like the fact that some of my colleagues (both in HK and DK) who clearly don’t like me and show no interest in my life what so ever in real life, (bloody hell they can’t even be bothered to talk to me), find it soooo interesting to read my blog… I would like to call that a sneaky interest…. Cause if you make time, more or less every day, to read about my life on my blog (a blog that is meant for true friends and family), you must find my life very interesting, but you just don’t want to show it… I think that is rather spineless to be honest.

Update: Since I published this post, just a few hours ago, people working within the same company as I have shown an even more intense interest in my blog than usual... (God you must really be living boring lives, can't see any other reason for why the words I write otherwise would be of such an immense interest to you...) Are you surprised that I know that you read about me or what's the fuss about?

However, just want you all to see this:

at least

Talked to Jon the other day and was “accused” of glorifying alcohol on my blog. And for trying to live a “Sex in the city” life style… Well the saying goes that every weekend is a holiday here in HK… And there is a constant buzz over here… And yes we do get intoxicated at times. And after all I’m just a Swedish babe…. But glorifying, I don’t know…

Anyway.
Friday night Tiina, Juuse, Kris and me went for a few drinks at a beautiful cool place with an absolutely stunning view over Hong Kong Island. And a real nice evening was had.

Saturday I had dinner with Ben on an outdoor veranda in cosy but buzzing Soho.

And tonight I was asked to fly off to Las Vegas with the handsome guy I had dinner with… (A guy who during lunch earlier today made sure that the waitress handed me a hand written note with his phone number on… a smooth nice guy with great arms and hands who apparently is a former World motocross champ…).

Maybe not sex in the city, but at least foreign babe in HK city…

handbags

The other day I tried out handbags.

Plenty of them too.
Some better than others.
And with some I was wishing that they would come home with me ...
And I'm still hoping that maybe one or two will find their way to Hollywood Rd 108...

Anyway, had a fun day and got to spend some time with 2 adorable little girls. (If I one day were
to have kids, I want them just as cute as these...).

birthday

Sunday morning I delivered a big piece of cake to Tiina, candle lit and everything....

It was her 30th birthday!! Hip hip hurray!!

Saturday night we celebrated with champagne, cosmopolitans and other drinks... And the birthday girl blamed her spinning head on not eating enough during the day... I blamed my spinning head on too many drinks...
Anyway, a really good night was had!

And as we finished it off with a after-party at Tiina and Juuses place ( I was drinking tea by then thank you very much...!) we all agreed that we should have an other cocktail party soon again...

Long live the young and beautiful ;-)

thailand

My paradise trip is over, but man was it great while it lasted...

Sunshine, snorkeling, good food, great company, beautiful sights, pampering spa treatments and relaxation. (Just what the doctor (me) ordered for this tired working-way-too-many-hours-girl in a, at times, not so friendly work environment).

3,5 days was too short though, well I guess holidays always are, but I could easily have stayed a bit longer. However, I have a good golden-brown tan and good memories with me home. And I can always go back!

Also, I have more or less decided that I will never live in a cold country again. What's the point in that, when I'm so much happier when it's warm?!

heaven

Yesterday I arrived to paradise. It literally felt like I had gone to sleep only to wake up in heaven... (Not that I slept at all the night before yesterday... but I most definitely am in heaven).
And where is heaven?! Thailand.

The place is stunning, the hotel symbolizes tranquility and peace, the beach is beautiful and the ocean is warm, the weather is just gorgeous and the spa treatments absolutely fantastic.

Heavenly.
