perfect fit

With my new very layered hair style I am a perfect fit for this group...

hair cut

Why do you think it's so hard for the hair dressers over here to understand the sentence: I do not want my hair to be cut in layers!?

Every time I walk out from the hair dresser my hair is cut in even more layers than it was when I got there... Drives me insane!

OK, it looks fab when I walk out of there, since they have blow dried it, straightened it, sprayed it etc. But on a normal lazy day, when I don't do all those things, I look terrible. My hair is not straight naturally, my hair goes here, there and everywhere naturally. Layers make it worse, hence me always asking for no layers. But yet layers I get...

Seems like the hair dressers in HK are so used to thick, black, shiny, beautiful straight hair that probably need layers to 'happen' that they only can cut hair that way, even when the hair on this foreign babe is thin, definitely not black, nor very shiny and unfortunately not straight neither...

sunshine

Had almost given up on the sun... Honestly, can't remember when I saw it last, before today. So when I woke up this morning and saw a beautiful blue sky my first words of the day were: I can't believe it!

But it was true!
So after a big breakfast I headed out, about time I got some fresh air I thought... And 3 hours later I returned home after a beautiful walk. I like!

no fight

So if you're supposed to do a fight and your opponent gets too scared to go through with it, does that mean that you have won?! That's how I intend to look at it anyway... ;)

The part that sucks is that no opponent means no fight...
And I really wanted to do this!
The Korean option fell through as well, because she was too light for me. (all my incredible big muscles weigh too much :)).

Anyway, to look at the bright side of it, I'm fitter now than I was when I started. I know how to take punches and I can deliver some as well! I have been surrounded by knowledgeable trainers for months (they are also good looking with amazing bodies - so definitely no complaints from this babe) and I can still go to the gym and see them... And I have told the organizers that I am still really interested in fighting, and that I will keep on training, so once they find someone that is a good fit they will put me up for the next fight in Singapore or Hong Kong. So at the end of the day I might get to fight anyway, but just with a delay...

chinese wedding

I just got home from my first real traditional Chinese wedding.
And it was different but interesting.

I learnt that you sit around a round table for hours and eat.
Think we had 11 courses. And to my sometimes quite picky western taste buds some of the dishes were a struggle, although there were some that were better.

I also learnt that it's totally OK to bring a deck of cards that you take out and play with your mates around the table when you get bored.

Chinese weddings are usually big, cause you need to invite everyone you know and a few more. This particular wedding filled up a ball room with out any problems at all. A rough estimate and I would say that we were more than 350 there. And out of those 350 I was the only one who didn't have black hair. Felt like a pretty lonely gweilo at times, especially as the whole night was in Cantonese. But that was expected of course and I'm just happy that I now have something new to tick off my list of things to do before I die.

And oh, think the bride changed her dress 5 times during the night.

Time for bed.

sure

She's sure, my now ex-opponent, she will not be boxing...
I'm surely disappointed.
However, if I'm lucky - meaning that I after all get to fight, my new opponent is a I-kick box-cause-I-love-to-hurt-and-I-have-black-eyes-that-say-I-will-fuckin'-kill-you-! girl from Korea. I call her the crazy bitch... but her name is Cara.

Help!!

But nothing is decided yet, she might be too little for me, and if it's decided that she is too little, well then I will not be kicking any ones ass for Charity anymore. Damn it!

However, they tell me to continue training like there is a fight in 3 weeks time. So I punch hard over and over again til my hands shake and I run, fast, even though I hate running...

not sure

In my inbox yesterday I found an email saying: Babe, not sure I'm going to do this anymore...
That means I might not have an opponent for the fight...
That means I might not be kicking ass for charity after all....
Damn it!
Fingers crossed she changes her mind and actually does go through with it. Hopefully it just a bit of cold feet. God knows I have felt the same at times.
Will definitley keep you all posted.
